Departure Day

Well, the day of departure for Ethiopia has arrived, and we are one-third the way there. We woke up at 3:30 a.m. to get to the Vancouver airport by 5:45, being told that our flight departed at 7:00 a.m. Turns out our flight left at 8:00 a.m., so we were able to grab breakfast before the flight. The entire trip is going to take us 24 hours in total, arriving in Addis Ababa around 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, which is 8 a.m. Vancouver time. So far the trip has gone well. Isaac enjoyed sitting at the window, and they had good movies to select for viewing. We'll see how we feel once we arrive in Frankfurt tomorrow morning.
