Our last full day in Ethiopia..... We awoke to a huge thunderstorm outside with lightening flashing magnificently and rain pouring down. Rainy season has definitely arrived and makes us ready to move on to Europe where we hope to encounter summer again!
We spent the day completing tasks in the library, cleaning out the apartment and packing. Sol and I got to go for one more long walk together and Isaac spent time taking final pictures of the campus. We have certainly had an amazing experience here in Ethiopia and will treasure these memories forever. Isaac is convinced that he will come back here since he thinks he likes Ethiopia even better than Canada! We are so grateful for this opportunity.
Tomorrow morning the College says farewell to us at their morning chapel and then we head in to Addis for the day to spend some time with friends and get a few things done. We fly for Frankfurt at1:45 a.m. (technically July 2nd). We are looking forward to some personal holiday time in Europe tracking down long-lost relatives in Germany and introducing the kids to some amazing sites and rich history.
