It was good to go to church this morning and reconnect with people we hadn’t seen for several weeks. Attending church here makes me miss Level Ground even more. The worship time here is frequently painful as we do a very poor job of singing some very slow, dirge like songs that come out of the Dutch tradition to the accompaniment of a recorder and flute.
We spent the day doing family stuff for the most part. Played some ping-pong, went for a walk and then taught the kids to play Dutch Blitz. They didn’t realize that Richard is a bit of a Dutch Blitz expert and felt slightly overwhelmed by his sudden intensity! Tomorrow we will be back to routine with lots of school work as well as volunteering in the library.
